Nueva Lengua Cartagena

Are you interested in travelling around Colombia while learning Spanish? If so, Nueva Lengua is the school for you. Founded in Bogotá in 2003, Nueva Lengua now has three Colombian schools and offers students the chance to begin their studies in one city and continue them elsewhere. As the content and structure of the courses are the same, you can easily begin in Cartagena before continuing your program in Bogotá or Medellín.

Nueva Lengua Cartagena is located in Getsemaní, a traditional neighborhood that is becoming increasingly popular because of its various bars, clubs and restaurants. Here you can easily visit all the historical sites as well as enjoying the area’s colorful houses and street art. The school is housed in a three-storey colonial house with a friendly and cozy atmosphere. The first floor contains a small pool where students can relax during class break, as well as the schools' offices where the Nueva Lengua team is happy to help you. The school also has two terraces; one of which is used as private dance area and as a meeting space when there are no dance classes. All the Nueva Lengua Cartagena teachers have a teaching degree and several years of experience teaching Spanish as a foreign language.

The school’s small class size ensures that all students are given the individual attention that they need to make fast progress. This is also assisted by the weekly test, when students can see how their language skills are developing and move levels, if appropriate. At the start of each class, any queries or communication problems are always discussed to help students overcome their own specific issues.

Nueva Lengua Cartagena also offers it students an activity program, including museum trips, bike ride, sports, visits to the nearby islands, afternoons on the beach and much more. This enables students to enjoy the beautiful city of Cartagena and its surroundings outside their classes. All transport costs and entry fees for these are activities are not covered by the school.
